Bailey Gaylin Moore is an Ozarks-based author and PhD student in the Creative Writing program at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She enjoys loud music on backroads and slowly amassing houseplants named Robert. She's spent an alarming amount of time and energy trying to convincing her teenager that she’s still cool, even though he doesn’t think her Robert Plant joke is funny. Even more recently, she's learned convincing teenagers of anything is kind of like talking into a fun void.

Aside from measuring time with fun voids, Bailey serves as the Online Editor//Social Media Manager for Past Ten, a collaborative literary project rooted in time-travel, asking artists to reflect on where and who they were ten years ago.

You can also catch her talking race, gender, and identity with Donald Quist on their critical literacies podcast, Black&White, &Read All Over. Listen to them discuss race, gender, and identity here.

Currently, Bailey is looking for representation as she finishes her first book—a series of connected essays examining the intersections of mental health, young motherhood, and the extremist landscapes of Missouri religion and politics..
